Today I am sharing some cards I made using Scribbles2stamp and Thanks stamps from Sizzix.
I have been seeing agate everywhere lately so I decided to make my own rocks!
I began by stamping several images on watercolor paper and embossing with gold powder. Then I watercolored each "rock." I chose Grape, Sky and Guava ink pads to color this panel.
I gently pressed a clear block onto each pad to pull out some ink and used my water pens.
After watercoloring, I still didn't have the look of agate that I wanted. I pulled out a gold paint pen with a very fine tip and drew lots of shaky circles. Here is an extra panel I made unpainted so you can see the circles:
Next, I trimmed and mounted the watercolor panels to colored card stock, popping it up with Foam Adhesive.
I die cut the tag and embossed it with gold and tied on a piece of Sky seam binding.
I decided to cut a star for my second card and embossed it again with the same sentiment. However, I masked the words one at a time so I could stack the words on top of each other:
I added ribbon and an embellishment and assembled my cards. Here are a few more pictures of them!
Thanks for stopping by!
