SAF 2016 Gilded in Gold

Hello!

This card was created for SAF 2016 Gilded in Gold with Danielle Flanders.

The all day Stamp-a-Faire event continues today from Papertreyink. This challenge is to use gold leaf. I have never used gold leaf before so I was interested to work with it.

I die cut several shapes out of white cardstock as well as chipboard from the Don't Forget to Write Kit.

I painted the edges and it does dry very quickly. It has a bit of an odor to it so be sure to work in a well ventilated area.

I made several cards using all my different shapes as well as some previous Stamp-a-Faire paper. I decided this would be a perfect day to use it!

I added two gold gilded flower die cut pieces to the corners and stamped the sentiment directly on the  paper.

 I created the next two cards using the 2 letter stencils that were included in the Don't forget to Write kit.  I am making a box of stationary for my daughter's 13th birthday and these notes will be included.

It is hard to see the beauty of the gold but it really packs a punch! This is a fun and easy technique.
