Hi there!
I am so excited to be part of The Stamps of Life and Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog Hop in celebration of National Cocoa Day!
Be sure to follow the hop at the bottom and leave comments along the way for a chance to win a $25 Gift card!
I have two projects to share and the first one includes a pair of elves holding a large cup of Hot Cocoa:
I stamped my cup onto a piece of patterened paper and strawberry card stock and die cut it out. I then stamped, die cut and colored my elves. Aren't they so cute!
Next, I stamped and die cut the banner from Mint Chip. I stamped Hot cocoa from Patterns4hotchocolate and added that between the two elves to make it look they are holding it.
It is hard to see but I embossed the Strawberry background before adding it to a layer of Powdered Sugar and an A2 Spearmint card base.
Here is a look at the inside! I die cut two tiny cups from the Icecreamtruck dies and stamped Merry Christmas with Green Apple.
For my second project, I made a gift tag for a box of hot cocoa.
I cut the mug from patterned paper and used the shadow die to create the tag by letting the die hang over the crease line ensuring that it won't cut all the way through the paper.
I stamped and die cut the whipped cream from Powdered Sugar card stock. I added some white liquid appliqué and let it dry. When you add heat from an embossing tool, it puffs up and gives great texture.
I stamped the sentiments on Strawberry and Powdered Sugar. I hand cut them out to give it a bit of a rustic look.
I stamped and die cut the marshmallows and added liquid appliqué. This time I added a touch of brown marker lightly to the appliqué to give them a "toasted" look!
Here is the finished gift:
Make a mug of hot cocoa and keep hopping! Commenting is open from December 13th-20th. The winner will be announced on December 22.
