Star banner featuring The Stamps of Life

Hi there!

Just a quick post today to share a felt banner I made to celebrate 4th of July!

This project was very fun! It did take a few hours, but I did most of it watching tv.

I like to stitch things so the Sizzix Dotted Stars have been calling my name! I die cut the largest star from Strawberry and Blueberry felt. I cut two of each star and began stitching them together using white embroidery floss. I used 3 out of the 6 strands. I didn't have any batting for inside so I chose to use cotton balls. They worked well to fluff up my stars!

I cut smaller stars using the same set. This die set contains stars that are dotted and solid. I stitched a few more of the smaller stars and glued them all down in different patterns using Tacky glue.

I strung my stars with more white embroidery floss but you could use red or blue to add some contrast. I wanted my stars to look like they were floating a bit on my craft room door.

You are Speshell featuring Shells2stamp from The Stamps of Life

Here is a card today featuring Shells2stamp and dies which is this month's Club set from The Stamps of Life.

You can also see the video of this card on The Stamps of Life blog HERE.

This is a longer blog post with several photos giving you more of a step by step idea of how I made this card.

I diecut two pieces of Cloud Card stock using the Half A2 Card set.

Here is the assembled card base:

I used the Sizzix Half Card Panel die to cut the patterned paper for inside and outside of the card:

Next, I cut two pieces to layer inside the card (a patterned piece and Storm card stock) using the Sizzix Dotted Rectangle dies.

Next, I got busy making some shells using the fabulous Shells2stamp dies. After cutting them out, I sponged the edges using the Blender4ink tool.

Here is the outside of the card before I added the Sparkle sentiment:

Here is the inside view:

I had some large pearls from a previous Card Kit that were a perfect addition to my shells. Look at that dimension!

Here is the finished product. The Sparkle die is in this month's Card Kit.

Happy 4th with Ministars4you featuring The Stamps of Life

Hi there!

The 4th of July is quickly approaching in the US and I can't believe June is almost over!

Today's card is a celebration of this:

I stamped my background using Ministars4you and Blueberry and Strawberry ink. I didn't have a set pattern. I just began with the large star circle and went from there.

I layered this panel onto Blueberry and Strawberry card stock. I stamped a piece of Blueberry with stars also stamped with Blueberry ink.

I tied on gingham ribbon and layered dotted circles and a solid blueberry circle

The last thing I added were these fabulous wooden stars I received in a previous Card Club Kit

I stamped the inside with more stamps from the set:

Sending Lots of Love with The Stamps of Life

Hi there!!

I have another card today that features donuts2stamp!

Okay, yes, this may be my *third* card recently that has featured these adorable donuts but I also added on this cute squirrel!

The glitter paper was cut using the heart background from the Lovely Dies set. Next, I stacked the donuts and added the squirrel on top. All of this was popped up with Adhesive Foam.

I die cut a stitched square and stamped it using a sentiment from a previous card club kit. I then tied on a piece of Gingersnap twine.

For the inside, I cut a piece of Powdered Sugar card stock and layered For my friend and added a few hearts.

Sailabrate with Sailboat2stamp and The Stamps of Life

Hi there!

I wanted to share a card I made using Sailboat2stamp:

The sailboat and background paper all come from the Wonder Paper Pad which is now available on the Stamps of Life

Next, I assembled adding everything to an A2 Ocean card base and die cut the oval from Cloud Card stock. I stamped the sentiment with Blueberry Ink.

All of this was popped up with Adhesive Foam and finished with Cloud seam binding.

The last thing I added were a trip of epoxy dots and a small wooden star. The star comes from a previous Card Kit. I decided to color it with my Blueberry marker. So much fun!

I turned my attention to the inside and added a piece of Powdered Sugar Card stock stamped with more Blueberry ink.

Thanks for stopping by!

Make a Big Wish featuring The Stamps of Life

Hi there!

Today's card features the new Sizzix Gift Flip-it insert die set.

This set coordinates with the Sizzix Flower Flip it Base. You must have the Flower flip it set to use this insert. The cool thing is one you have invested in the base set, you can use the different inserts. The gift set is the first one to arrive -there will be more in the near future!

I took several photos to show how this product works:

This is the card base with the gift insert in the middle.

After cutting out the A2 sized base in Guava, the next step is to cut the patterned paper pieces. You simply match up the pieces as they are marked with an A and a B at the top so you know you are correct!

You can see the letters more clearly in these photos:

All the pieces are ready to run through my Big Shot Plus:

Now I am ready to assemble the card:

ADDITIONAL SUPPLIES (all from The Stamps of Life)
Ribbon and epoxy dots from previous Card Club Kits
Patterned Paper from this month's Card Kit

Birthday Wishes and Congrats with The Stamps of Life

I have two cards to share today:

I used the same die base, Sizzix Thank you Drop-ins, but by making a few changes I ended up with two very different cards!

I added some glitter glue to the first card in the negative space left behind from the die. This die set includes a Thank you die as well, but I decided to cover it with the Birthday Wishes Circle Die

I added two epoxy flowers at the top and bottom:

On the second card, I chose to cut the heart portion out of Glitter Paper. I again used a circle sentiment -  this time Congrats. I sponged some ink to achieve an ombre look.  I cut the bottom circle from Powdered Sugar and stamped several hearts using Sampler2love.

I added ribbon to each card and popped up the sentiments with Adhesive Foam

Don't forget you can always decorate the inside of your card. Just trim down some patterned paper and you are finished!

Hello featuring Mermaid2stamp from The Stamps of Life

Hi there!

Today's card features the newest stamp set, Mermaid2stamp from The Stamps of Life.

This was a lot of fun to make! I began by cutting several waves using the die from the Sandal Dies set. I chose Ocean and Sky card stock for this. After cutting, I layered the waves with Adhesive Foam

I cut the ovals from Glitter Paper (set 1) and Pixie card stock and added those between the waves.

On to the mermaid! Isn't she adorable? I watercolored mine with blond hair, in honor of my youngest daughter, who always wanted to be a mermaid.

I popped the die cut up on the rock that is included in the Mermaid2stamp set.

These were layered on a Powdered Sugar Dotted RectangleOcean and a Pixie A2 size card base.

Lastly, I added a small ribbon, a Guava dotted heart and a tiny heart mirror. The mirror is from a previous Card Kit.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
