Papertrey Ink Make It Monday # 307 Faux Stained Glass

Hi There!

I created this card for the Papertrey Ink MIM #307 Faux Stained Glass challenge.

Laurie shared a video this week about using vellum to create a faux stained glass.

After making the stained glass piece, I really wanted the shine to come through so I cut a smaller square out of the white card base.

You can see the inside here:

I just love that snowflake!

Here is what the card looks like when you open it in light:

I chose a platinum colored vellum instead of plain to give it some more shimmer.

Everything was going well until I stamped my sentiment and got a smudge of ink on the left bottom of the card! So a few snowflakes helped disguise the oops!

Thanks Laurie for the challenge!!

Have a great day!

I am entering this card in the challenges:

  6. What a stunning snowflake and the perfect die to try out Laurie's challenge! Yes, I die-cut my card base to match the front too. The light does not come thru otherwise. :)
