OBG - Oldies but Goodies! with The Stamps of Life

Hello!

I am going to try to start sharing things using OBG (Oldies but Goodies) stamps and dies.

I have a lot of wonderful stamp stuff I need to use and what better way than to make an effort to dig through my stuff for some treasures!

Today's Oldie but Goodie is The Stamps of Life Eggs4 Easter.

This stamp set also has matching dies that are for the eggs and jelly beans. They can be found HERE.

I am part of the Card Kit club with Stamps of Life and I have collected lots of patterned paper over the years. Each month you get a wonderful pad of paper and I don't use it all - I often don't want to part with it!! haha

I pulled out several sheets and started cutting eggs and jelly beans like crazy!

This card also used Sizzix Jar Stamps and Framelits designed by Stephanie Barnard (owner of Stamps of Life).

I began by die cutting the jar frame out of Gingersnap card stock. I created a shaker card by adding acetate and foam tape and added a lot of jelly beans and sequins.

Before I added it to the purple card back I did randomly glue some jelly beans and sequins around so there would be something in the shaker when things all fall to the bottom.

Pink ribbon was tied on and a couple of die cut Easter eggs were attached.

I love the font in this set. I stamped Blessings onto a banner.

Easter Pillow Box with the Stamps of Life

Hello!

Today's card features two gift wrap ideas.

Both items were created using Ginger Snap card stock from the Stamps of Life.

The first project features a gable box. I die cut the shape two times and stamped the images using white pigment ink. The images aren't super bright. I could have embossed them in white to add more pop but I actually wanted a softer look.

After stamping, I adhered the two panels together at the tabs and I had a treat box. A pink gingham ribbon was tied and added with glue dots.

My second project features a pillow box. I LOVE this Pillow box die. It is so versatile and worth every penny!

This time I cut one piece of ginger snap cardstock and stamped in white pigment ink.

The band was created from a piece of patterned paper from the March Card club kit. These carrots are so cute!

I punched a couple of holes and tied orange ribbon on.

Here is the box with the band on it:

Circle Flip-It card with The Stamps of Life

Hello!

We are currently on Spring Break so I am enjoying some bonus craft time!

Today I am sharing a card using Sizzix Flip-Its Large Circle die set from Stephanie Barnard.

The flip-it cards help you create a card fairly quickly because all the measuring has been done for you.

I die cut the base from Tangerine Card stock and cut the panels using patterned paper from TSOL Paper Wishes pad.

I cut two large circles from white and one smaller circle in yellow and one in light pink.

These were glued down and I added the purple Hello with some glue. This wooden sentiment came from a previous Card club kit. I turned it purple by adding a layer of Nuvo.

I added a trio of flowers that I had left over for another project.

The sentiment was stamped on the light pink cardstock and I also stamped a few flowers.

The last thing I did was add a blue ribbon.

Birthday Pillow Box with The Stamps of Life

Hello!

Today I created a Pillow Box to hold a gift card or some treats.

This was so quick and easy but it is so much fun. I love to create gift packaging (as well as the card!) and the Stamps of Life Pillow Box Die Set makes it a snap.

I began by die cutting the box using a piece of patterned paper from a previous TSOL Card Kit.

It has many birthday sentiments on it and is a favorite of mine.

You can also create your own background very similar to this paper using the Birthday4Subways Background stamp. How cool is that? You always get lots of coordination from Stephanie.

I adhered the box closed and tied on a bright green seam binding. I added a bubblegum colored button on the center of the bow.

Happy Birthday with The Stamps of Life

Hello!

Today's card was created for Simon Says Stamp Monday Blog Challenge Create Your Own Background.

When time allows, I really enjoy making backgrounds using stamps.

I stamped several balloons on white card stock in different colors. I added a piece of washi tape and ribbon and die cut the frame and stamped Happy Birthday.

Finally, I glued down two white daisy flowers.

Papertrey Ink March Release Day 2 Challenge

Hello!

Today is Day 2 of the Papertrey Ink March Release.

The challenge is to create a card that contains multiples of a single shape, die cut or stamped image.

I rediscovered these beautiful Etched Easter egg Dies in craft room yesterday and decided to use these for my multiples for the challenge.

I die cut the eggs using double sided foam. It isn't the foam from PTI (which I love!!!) but it is from another company and is a little thinner.

I die cut a rectangle stitched frame from PTI Scalloped A1 Die Collection. I laid out the foam egg die cuts and stamped the sentiment - Our and Lives in black, leaving room for Savior.

This is where you need some patience! The payoff is TOTALLY worth it but you need to work slowly.

I stuck down the eggs and began carefully peeling off sections and adding Decofoil as I went. This helps me see where I have removed the front paper and have applied the foil.

After finishing this step (it isn't perfect but I am okay with that!), I die cut Savior in white card stock. Before cutting, however, I added Sizzix Adhesive to the front and back of the paper to make it into a sticker after it was cut.

I glued the word down and applied purple foil.

I die cut a piece of Egg Hunt patterned paper using the A1 collection and trimmed it in half.

The ribbon was added last and tied with a simple knot.

Thanks card with The Stamps of Life

Hello!

This beautiful spring weather has been inspiring me to craft.

I began with a base of Guava card stock (my favorite bright pink) and added two pieces of patterned paper.

The paper is from The Stamps of Life and was included in a paper pad that comes in the Card Kit. These houses are so adorable!! I added the green stripe on top and then die cut Thanks in a lighter and darker blue. I did add Clear Wink of Stella to the Thanks.

I added a few epoxy hearts and a bright blue ribbon to finish it off.

So quick and really so cute in person!

All supplies used are from The Stamps of Life.
